WHO WE ARE

Clutch was built by people who have seen what happens when safety is left to chance. Husband-and-wife team Russ and Jess spent years working in the New York City bar scene, witnessing unattended drinks, people pushing past their limits, and moments of vulnerability that often went unnoticed. Jess later spent multiple years as an ER nurse and sexual assault forensic examiner, seeing firsthand the real-world consequences of those moments. As hosts of a popular true crime podcast, they recognized the same safety gaps repeating again and again. They didn’t want to create “cute” safety, they built Clutch as a one-stop shop for smart, innovative protection that actually helps keep people safe.
